I just came across Morimura Yasumasa's summary about the Yokohama Triennale 2014. The exhibition was titled "Art Fahrenheit 451 ". Two such quotes really resonate with me since I am recovering from a concussion. "Forgetting" is memory in the form of a black hole absorbing memories that could not be held onto." and "a Voyage through the sea of oblivion".
I am currently making some 80"X45" crayon on linen drawings while I think about "the forgotten" as memories that are not memorized, in addition to memories that have probably been erased and banned by censorship and authorities". Sound familiar with our current political situation?
